The Simple Answer
RushSavor does not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for the purpose of cross-context behavioural advertising. We never have and we have no intention of doing so.
This page exists because certain privacy laws — including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) — require businesses to provide a clear and accessible way for you to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, even if they do not engage in those practices. We are being transparent: there is nothing to opt out of at RushSavor, but your right to know that is real and we take it seriously.
What This Means for You
Your personal information stays with RushSavor and the small number of service providers who help us run the platform. It is never traded, sold, rented, or shared for advertising purposes. Here is exactly what we do and do not do:
What we do
• Share limited information with restaurants only so you can collect your deal (your first name and order reference — nothing more)
• Share data with service providers who process it on our behalf and under our instructions only — for example Stripe for payments, our analytics provider for app improvement, and our email provider for communications
• Retain transaction records as required by Canadian and US tax law
What we do not do
• Sell your personal information to any third party for any price or consideration
• Share your personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing networks
• Use your data for cross-context behavioural advertising — meaning we do not track you across other websites or apps to serve you targeted ads
• Participate in programmatic advertising exchanges or real-time bidding networks
• Share your precise location, payment details, or usage behaviour with any party outside of RushSavor’s service providers
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights regarding the sale or sharing of your personal information. Here is how those rights apply at RushSavor:
California residents — CCPA / CPRA
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act, you have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information at any time. Because RushSavor does not sell or share personal information for advertising purposes, exercising this right has no practical effect — but it is yours to exercise at any time.
To submit an opt-out request: email privacy@rushsavor.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share — California”. We will confirm your request within 15 business days.
You also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising this right. RushSavor will never deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide you with a lesser experience because you have exercised any privacy right.
Other US states
Several US states — including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and others — have enacted privacy laws that include similar rights regarding the sale or sharing of personal data. RushSavor’s position is the same in all jurisdictions: we do not sell or share your personal information for advertising or commercial purposes.
Residents of any US state may contact us at privacy@rushsavor.com to exercise any applicable right under their state’s privacy law.
Canadian residents — PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25
Under Canada’s federal privacy law (PIPEDA) and Quebec’s Law 25, you have the right to know how your personal information is used and to whom it is disclosed. RushSavor does not disclose your personal information for commercial purposes beyond what is described in our Privacy Policy. You may contact our Privacy Officer at any time to ask about how your information is used or to request that it be deleted.
What We Do Share — and Why
In the interest of full transparency, here is every category of third party that receives any information from RushSavor, and exactly what they receive:
Restaurants (when you make a purchase)
When you buy a deal, the restaurant receives your first name, the last four digits of your order reference number, the deal you purchased, and your pickup window. That is all. They do not receive your email address, phone number, full name, or payment details.
Stripe (payment processing)
Stripe processes your payment card transaction. They receive your card details directly and securely. RushSavor receives only a transaction token, the last four digits of your card, and your billing postal code. Stripe is bound by PCI-DSS Level 1 standards and their own privacy policy.
Analytics provider (app improvement)
Our analytics provider receives anonymised usage data — screens visited, features tapped, session duration — tied to a pseudonymous device ID, never to your name or email. This data is used only to improve RushSavor and is never shared with advertisers.
Email and push notification providers
These providers send communications on our behalf — deal confirmations, receipts, and (if you have consented) marketing messages. They receive your email address and device push token as needed to deliver those communications. They do not use this data for their own marketing purposes.
