Cookies & Tracking
We keep it simple, transparent, and always in your control.
Like most websites and apps, RushSavor uses cookies and similar technologies to keep things running smoothly. This page explains exactly what we use, why we use it, and — most importantly — how to turn anything off that you’re not comfortable with. No jargon. No surprises.
We use a small number of essential cookies that the platform cannot function without — things like keeping you logged in and processing payments securely through Stripe. We also use optional analytics and marketing tools, but those are off by default and only switch on if you say yes.
Quebec residents: All non-essential tracking is off by default and stays off until you explicitly turn it on. That is the law under Quebec’s Law 25 — and we think it is the right approach for everyone.
You can change your mind at any time via Settings > Privacy in the app, or via the Cookie Settings link in the footer of this site.
So... what exactly is a cookie?
A cookie is a tiny text file that a website or app saves on your device when you visit. Cookies are used across the internet for all kinds of things — from remembering your login to counting how many people visited a page.
On the RushSavor website we use cookies. In our mobile app, we use similar technologies called device identifiers and analytics SDKs — software built into the app. The idea is the same: small pieces of data that help the platform work and improve over time.
What we do not do: We do not use fingerprinting, cross-site tracking, or any technology that follows you around the internet. We are not part of any advertising network. We do not sell your data. Ever.
Four types. Two required. Two your choice.
We group our cookies and tracking technologies into four categories. Here is what each one does and who controls it.
Category 1 — Essential | Always On
These are the cookies that keep RushSavor running. Without them you cannot log in, make a purchase, or use any secure part of the platform. They do not track you for marketing or analytics — they just keep the lights on.
What is included:
• Your login session token (keeps you signed in)
• Security tokens (prevent fraud and unauthorized access)
• Your language and notification preferences
• Stripe payment session tokens (Stripe handles these directly)
Who controls it: These cannot be turned off — they are strictly necessary for the platform to function.
Category 2 — Functional | Your Choice
These cookies remember your preferences to make the experience more personal — like your preferred city or recently browsed deal categories. The app works without them, just with a bit less personalisation.
What is included:
• Your preferred city or neighbourhood
• Recently viewed deal types
• Your cookie consent record (so we do not ask you every visit)
Who controls it: You. Turn them on or off anytime in Cookie Settings or Settings > Privacy.
Category 3 — Analytics | Your Choice
These tools help us understand how people use RushSavor — which features work well, where people get stuck, and how to make the app better. All data is tied to an anonymous device ID, not your name or email.
What is included:
• App usage events (screens visited, features tapped)
• Website session data (pages viewed, time on site)
• Crash and error reports
Who controls it: You. Off by default for Quebec residents. For everyone else, off until you accept via the consent banner.
Category 4 — Marketing | Your Choice
These tools let us measure whether our communications are working — for example, whether a push notification led to a deal redemption. We do not use marketing cookies for third-party advertising and we are not part of any ad network.
What is included:
• Email open and click tracking (only in marketing emails)
• Push notification delivery and open tracking
• Deal redemption attribution (internal reporting only)
Who controls it: You. Off until you give explicit consent at sign-up. Withdraw anytime — takes effect immediately.
You are always in control.
Here are all the ways you can manage your tracking preferences. None of these affect your ability to use RushSavor.
On the website
Click Cookie Settings in the footer of any page on rushsavor.com. You will see exactly what is active and can turn each category on or off individually. Changes take effect immediately.
In the app
Go to Settings > Privacy. Toggle analytics and marketing tracking on or off. Withdraw marketing consent. Review your choices at any time.
For emails
Every marketing email from RushSavor includes a clear Unsubscribe link. Click it and we will process your opt-out within 10 business days. Email tracking pixels are immediately disabled for your address.
Device-level controls
• Disable iOS tracking permission: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking > RushSavor
• Reset Android advertising ID: Settings > Google > Ads > Reset advertising ID
• Disable push notifications on iPhone: Settings > Notifications > RushSavor > toggle off
• Disable push notifications on Android: Settings > Apps > RushSavor > Notifications > toggle off
• Clear browser cookies: Chrome, Safari, or Firefox > Privacy Settings
What we will never do.
Sell your data
Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
Join ad networks
No Google Ads tracking. No Meta Pixel. No TikTok Pixel. No retargeting. Full stop.
Track you across the internet
We only measure what happens inside RushSavor. What you do elsewhere is none of our business.
Hide anything
Every tracking technology we use is listed clearly in this policy. No hidden tools, no buried footnotes.
Quebec Residents
Quebec’s Act to Modernize Legislative Provisions as Regards the Protection of Personal Information (Law 25) gives you some of the strongest privacy rights in North America.
Here is what that means for you:
• All non-essential tracking is off by default. Nothing is activated until you explicitly say yes.
• You will see a consent screen when you first use RushSavor that explains each category clearly, with individual toggles — no pre-ticked boxes.
• You can withdraw consent at any time and it takes effect immediately. Your ability to use RushSavor is not affected in any way.
• We keep a record of every consent you give or withdraw, as required by Law 25.
